About Mississauga Area:
Mississauga Area is situated on the eastern side of Central Escarpemnt Council (CEC) which is one of 20 Councils in Scouts Canada Nationally. CEC includes the territory that runs westward north of Hamilton to Kitchener-Waterloo - an area that is divided into eight Areas. Mississauga is the largest of the Areas within CEC. Within Mississauga there are approximately 30 Groups - each having some combination of Beaver Colonies, Cub Packs, Scout Troops, Venturer Companies and Rover Crews.
What should you kow about Scouting in Mississauga:
Scouting in Mississauga and elsewhere offers unique programs that are fun filled, hands-on and progressive, giving Scouting youth ever better leadershhip skills, better healthy active living life skills and teaching environmental stewardship to benefit all. There are in Mississauga approximately 2000 registered members. Groups can be located by going to the national web-site ( http://www.scouts.ca ), type in your postal code you and you will receive a listing of up to 10 close-by Groups. |
